Hi, I'm new to this project and I hope you can help me on some doubts. I'm a developer and the lab that I work for is developing some hardware diagnostic tools. Now I am working on the optical drive part and I'm having some doubts... Basically what I need to do at this moment is a writing test, where the drive have to write things on CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW and BD-R/RE.
On the CD-R/RW and DVD-R/RW part, I guess it's almost everything ok, but on BD-R/RE I still don't know exactly what do I have to do. So I started to search some open source BD burners to see if I could know how to do it, and I've found this list. So, basically I came to ask if anyone of you guys could give me and overall view on how the writing on BD works. I would be eternally grateful! Thank you very much, guys.
