I too would like to build CE x86 executables. Although having a C++ compiler
on an x86 CE box would be advantageous our current model only requires
building x86 CE executables on my standard XP machine and transferring the
executable to the CE machine. I think this is more like the Trevor MacPhail
post referenced in Eneko Fernandez's post.

We are currently have an application that generates C++ code that targets
Windows CE 5.0 and 6.0 with an Intel x86 processor. Currently the generated
code is built on a standard windows XP box using Visual Studio 2008 and the
executable is transferred to the target.

I am looking to use a different compiler. I have the latest x86 mingw
compiler and am building standard x86 windows executables but I am not sure
what steps are necessary to build the CE code for my x86 target. Do I need
to rebuild the target platform SDK (generated from platform builder) using
mingw? Do I need to link to a mingw - w32api library rebuilt to target CE?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tory
