The format is simply the Crystal Space XML format. We don't really have
specifications on that
but there is some info in the Crystal Space manual and several examples in
the CS/data directory.

Most geometry will be represented using either the terrain mesh or several
genmeshes.

For the moment yes. We have some coding style guidelines in the Crystal
Space manual.
Mostly about indentation and such.
