Hi:

I think that these might be things we should add, in detail, to the 
manual before the 1.4 release.  I think, at the very least, that a 
concrete explanation of the map file format, should be included.  When 
beginning to develop, I also found out when I committed initially that 
the STL is not used.  Adding this to the documentation (coding 
standards) would be helpful for new developers, I think.
