In fact that was my first idea, and I went through the eLinux wiki for quite some time. However, I wasn't sure whether it's the right place for my content, which is not restricted to embedded systems (even though the current content may suggest that) or Linux development, but of more general nature. Besides, the eLinux wiki policy states that it is "not an encyclopedia", but something like a "hardware encyclopedia" was just what I was thinking of when I started my wiki. However, if you think that this kind of content is appropriate for the eLinux wiki, I'll be happy to contribute some pages, or even consider migrating the information I collected so far.
