; Summary: eMMC/SSD file system tuning and performance

; Proposer: Tim Bird - Sony Network Entertainment

== Description ==
I have seen a number of good presentations over the last year, regarding
efforts to tune file systems for eMMC or SSD media. However, I have not
seen a lot of concrete suggestions for code changes in the kernel,
or for tuning changes for existing kernels that will enhance performance.

This project would consist of benchmarking a few different filesystems
on SSDs, with different performance tuning options, and producing a document
to describe filesystem tuning parameters and methods for flash media.
