Any parties attending or interested in attending Embedded Linux Conference 2023,
ELC 2023 is coming up in just a few weeks, in Prague. It is part of the Embedded Open Source Summit described here: https://events.linuxfoundation.org/embedded-open-source-summit/ We are in need of volunteers for doing room moderation at the event. Room moderators will be responsible for: * Welcoming speakers when they arrive, helping them get set up, and answering any questions they may have (there will be a dedicated AV tech in each room to assist with setting up their equipment and getting their mics set) * Logging into the virtual platform for their assigned sessions/track and ensuring the live stream is functioning properly * Fielding questions from the virtual audience and asking them live in the room for the speakers Linux Foundation staff will be readily accessible to offer support, and will provide room moderators with essential information and a comprehensive guide to ensure their success. If you are attending the event, and are willing to be a room moderator for some sessions, please contact me. If we get enough volunteers, then each moderator would only need to do about 3 or 4 sessions out of the total event. If you are not registered yet, then I have a special offer for you. I have some sponsor passes still available, and am willing to offer, to the first 8 people who volunteer, a sponsor pass in exchange for their doing a day's worth of room moderation (between 6 and 8 sessions). This would provide for free in-person attendance at the event. That's a pretty big savings (like $800 or so).
