Cemetery Report: June 24, 2007 " Forced into a late lunch" List user
7/11/2007, 9:27:54 AM Out of the garage and on the road at 6:18am. Route 90 west to exit 42 and rt.14 south to Geneva. Wasted about 20 minutes finding the first one as they have construction through the city and signs have been changed and detours and missing signs and I don't know this area. 7:43am I arrive at Glenwood Cemetery, south side of Geneva, N.Y. on Rt.14 and this is a big one. The historic name for the day....................... Henry Hudson died June 20, 1812 age 42 years.( Henry Hudson was an explorer for the Dutch India Company and during his career he sailed two famous ships being the "Half Moon" and "Discovery". He discovered the Hudson River, Hudson Strait and Hudson Bay. He and his son were later set adrift in the end and eaten by Eskimos which is now referred to as an Eskimo pie..(<Well, not eaten by Eskimos but he was never heard from again). On the way to the next cemetery, my eyes must be getting tired and sore from the sun as I thought I just saw a sign down the road partially saying "Always Fresh". As I get closer "Toujours Frais"..........nah ! ,must be I haven't been drinking enough water...................must be dehydrated. But now in full view a big brand new Tim Horton's sign. In Geneva, N.Y.??????????????????????????????? I pulled in, and sure enough it was a brand new Tim's. 'Ya know I hardly ever stop for anything to eat while doing cemeteries, but the sign in the store for the chili deal couldn't be resisted. Well, after a bowl of chili, roll, Canadian Maple donut and an extra large coffee I left with Tim cookies and a box of Tim Bits.
