Next at 10:04am is a Pioneer Cemetery on Rt. 233, Westmorland, which is

hidden behind the Post Office. Signs all over the place "No Trespassing".
New

York State law over rules those signs as cemeteries are public domain. But,
I

went into the Post Office to ask about the signs anyway. Seems the clown
living

next door to the Post Office doesn't like anyone going back there as the

right of way cuts across his lawn by a few feet, according to the Post
Office

people. But, the Postman said, "let me call Town Hall for a ruling"....Hello

Sarah? Yeah, this is Burt at the P.O., here's the

situation.....................blah blah, blah blah.

End of call. .................Town Hall backs you 100%, that's public domain

and you can't be stopped from entering it even if you have to walk across

the guys lawn to get there. But, walk on it as little as possible. If
there's a

problem, come back here and I'll send Larry over. ............Who's Larry I

said? He said "He's the local guy who carries a side arm and has a badge on

his chest. Ahhhhhhhhh gottcha' I said.................

Isn't that neat, that everyone knows everyone else in a small

Picked up 7 flags and walked .9 miles in this "Land of the Discontinued" and

vacated at 11:57am.

11:59 am brings me to a small bookstore in downtown Clinton. And around the

corner to a brand new little restaurant that just opened so I could grab a
cup

of coffee to go. Lot of laughs in there as I was the first to get a coffee

to go and what a fiasco that turned out to be. She brought the pot of coffee

over from behind the counter and she didn't bring me a cup, so I just put my

hands together as to hold liquid and told he to fill it up but leave room
for

cream and sugar.................she laughed so hard I thought she was going

to wet herself. We eventually got that all corrected. I asked about
directions

to the next cemetery and was told to go straight down the street out front

and turn left at the round bank and that would take me right to the
cemetery.

To myself, I wondered if a round bank was a business name or what? I didn't

ask, but followed the instructions. Hmmmmmmmmm sure enough down the street
at

the corner was actually a totally round bank building, I guess that's so you

cant get cornered there???????????.

12:34pm brings me to St Mary's Cemetery on St Mary's St. in Clinton.

George Aces Sr. 1913-1988 Vet of WW 2.

Remember those green tennis ball sized nuts I found in a prior cemetery?,

well, I thought I just found more of the same. These are similar but
different.

A bit smaller than a tennis ball, same green colour but the outside is

covered with thorns such as you would find on a rose bush. I brought one
home. Over

the weeks, the green thorn covered green skin cracked and shrunk and finally

on its own three, I guess?>, nuts came out of it. They were brown in colour.

The previous one I had found didn't have the thorns.........................

on

now, hopefully to get out of here keeps winding through the woods and
finally

ahead I'm starting to see some clearing and over a little hill and

..............massive cemetery. Not sure which one this is. I see the gate,
so drive

down there and find out this is also Sunset Hill Cemetery and very large.

Drove around to have a look see and no way I was going to get this done
today.

Save it for the next trip. Seems odd that one section I did do way on the

other side of the woods which I thought was the whole cemetery. Why were
they so

remote and only a few feet from the entrance to the Catholic cemetery?

Wanna be's?????????????

Got home at 5:54pm.

Another great day with the dead........................
