Today happens to be Sept 21st as I write this section of the report. I think all my hearing has now come back now. :) Sue and I went to a concert last night at the Turning Stone Casino. We didn't know till we got there that we ended up with Row 5, that's 5 rows from the stage. That's also very close to gigantic speakers. And I suppose with any old rock band you might understand how loud that is. But, this wasn't any old rock band, this was what's referred to as Southern Rock. They have larger and stronger speakers down there. They also had everything turned up as far as it would go. One set they had fuzzy guitars with white fur. I'm trying to give you hints. In the video where they used those same guitars, they spun around. They didn't spin last night though.......... Another set the lead guitarist played a guitar given to him by Bo Diddley. And they did each have to keep smoothing their beards out so they wouldn't get in the way of their guitar playing......... Z Z TOP. They were excellent, as good as they have ever been. But what a mixture of people. Parents with children, gray hairs, white hairs, bikers, young and old. I think some were dead also....................Why did I put this in here ? MMMMMMM...........................if they ever played in a cemetery, they would awaken the dead.......................LOL Walked .1 miles in this "Specter Society" and vacated at 11:47am. 11:55am brings me to Talcottville Cemetery on Rt. 12D. Picked up 9 flags and walked 1 mile in this "Unearthly Landscape" and vacated at 12:56pm. 12:59pm brings me to Hill Cemetery-Locust Grove on Rt. 12D in Leyden. Finally get to take my boots off due to the dew. So now more comfortable with the sneekers.The dew was heavy today. Ohhhhhhhhhhhh I know that isn't my feet..................LOL The farm across the way must of spread the liquid fertilizer. That's enough to make the hairs in your nose to fall out................. Calvin Miller died March 23, 1797 age 21 years. Gurdon Lord Born at Norwich, Connecticut July 5, 1780 and died Oct 16, 1866 wife Sally Dewey Born at Westfield, Massachusetts Sept 2, 1781 and died April 13, 1861. ( I've seen the name Gurdon in other cemeteries , so this wouldn't be a error in spelling) Libbie Boardman Born Nov 30, 1855 and died July 29, 1920. There are some headstones back in the woods, but because of the over growth I did not check them out. Cleanthe Kimball died Sept 15, 1835 age 3 weeks. I'm extremely happy that its not a hot day, the smell from the fertilizer could gag a maggot.............Glad I'm done here. Walked .4 miles and picked up 2 flags in this 'Perma Rest" and vacated at 1:22pm. 1:23pm brings me to Locust Grove Cemetery on Rt. 12D intersection with Bailey Rd. Genleia Merrian Born Sept 25, 1794 and died Nov 11, 1873. William Merrian (<This guy has a good sized stone and a genealogists dream inscribed. It has roughly 20 generations of names, dates and locations going back to a William Merrian 1560-1635 of Hadlow Kent, England. Next, apparently was the first generation to arrive Joseph Merrian 1595-1641 of Tudeley, England and died at Concord, Massachusetts. Later generations are at Wallingford, Connecticut. Unfortunately, in New England during the American Revolution, Christmas wasn't even celebrated. Boston public schools remained opened on Christmas Day as late as the 1870s, a legacy of the Puritans. Agnes Bendrat Born May 8, 1871 and died May 8, 1909. Margarette Huy died April 19, 1873 age 65 years 1 month and 14 days. This next guy reached the goal he set out in life to accomplish.......and only took him 30 years............ Nicholas Dies 1880-1910 wife Christena Ruser 1834-1909. On the way back I spotted 20-25 large turkeys along the side of the road just outside of Ava. Looks like I walked 9.4 miles for the day and got home at 7:15pm.
