I was asked about a month ago why there are door knockers on the outside of

mausoleum doors. Seems odd, doesn't it, as anyone inside is dead. I think

it might just be symbolism for the final rising.(And God said......"Wake up

dummy, its time to rise" and the reply was "Yawn, ahhhhhhhhh do I have

to?"), or was that what I used to say when I was woken to go to school?

LOL------ But, in this cemetery I had an incident. There was one mausoleum

towards the bottom of the hill. I went over to look at it and it seemed the

door was ajar. So, I opened it up all the way and stood inside for a minute

and there was 4 burials in there, with room for 2 more. It was clean and

didn't smell. I closed one door and noticed a lock on the inside of the
door,

same as the other door. Now who's going to lock that? But as I went to

close the other door, which by the way was probably 2-3 hundred pounds of

brass, the door came off in my hand. I just barely got it back in place only
by

wedging it so it wouldn't fall. Glad it didn't land on me. I don't know if

that was an attempt by someone to break in or not. I don't think it was an

attempt to break out.................................This was the Kellog

Mausoleum by the way.

I know during the Civil War you could pay someone to take your place in the

army. But, does it work for religion? Catherine de Medici made a promise

to God, to journey to Jerusalem. But she didn't go herself, she paid a

substitute pilgrim to make the journey in her place, from France to
Jerusalem.

Does that count???????????? LOL.

Remember Jack be nimble and his candle stick. Not just a nursery rhyme.

Back in history, people actually jumped the candle stick and tried not to
put

out the flame on the wick. If it stayed lit they were to have good luck in

the future. If it went out, bad luck was all they were going to get. How's

your flame???????????

After Marie Antoinette lost her head a new fad started all over England and

France, young women started cutting their hair very short and started

wearing red ribbons around their necks at the cut line.

I decided to call it quits for today. My back is burning, I'm over hot and

starting with the cold chills. 90+ doesn't do me any good.
