10/12/2009, 9:21:18 AM Out the big door at 4:56am and its 46F/7C. Notice I'm up a bit later due to the shortening of the days and later sunrise. But, as I will find out later, I need to leave even a bit later than today's departure. Heading back south on Rt. 81 to Binghamton, N.Y. and see what's left of Mt. Calvary Cemetery. But here is something interesting, Natures Speed Bump, in the area of Cortland. This road kill I stopped for as it looked different, it was a wolf, and the first time in my life I've seen a wolf road kill. Powerful looking cousin of a mutt, for sure. Those fangs are outstanding, but if you look at it, it is a well designed animal and when they're not to mangy, it is a good looking animal. Now I'm within a block of My Calvary and its still black so I'm stopping at McDonalds to grab a coffee to go, and what's this?, she threw in a Egg Mc Muffin, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ! Now I officially arrive at Mt Calvary at 6:22am and its 47F here and pitch black. What a pleasant place to sit and drink coffee and eat an Egg Mc Muffin. I only got to take a ghost of a bite, when I saw movement among the headstones. The deer were waking up. 6 deer walking slowly about 8 rows over from where I sat. And now here's a pair of deer just over a car lengths in front of me, just slowly wondering. Its now 6:48am and my Egg Mc Muffin has disappeared. I'll bet one of those deer ate it, or is Henry with me today? I suppose that was spirited away..................... About 15 rows over is a small herd a deer moving towards the woods. Its now 6:52am and there is enough light to start now. Grace Saxe 1895-1957.(SAXE=Sax) There go's one more strangler that must have slept in, and its maybe 6 rows over, they're all white tail deer. Edith M. Lapointe Born Jan 20, 1916 and died May 23, 1984. Stephen Galembush 1904-1976. John Cuddihe 1883-1955. Thalas G. Kilmer 1901-1958. Henry ! Get off the back of that deer.
