Cemetery Report: Sept. 23, 2009 "Henry says "Hi" List user
10/5/2009, 1:16:42 PM Out the big door at 5:12am and its 71F/22C. Heading south today, back to Binghamton, N.Y. 6:40am brings me to Glenwood Cemetery, established 1874, and will finish today what I couldn't the last time I was here. 70F/21C. 'Course this is a bad real estate cemetery, its hilly and not a good way to start your day. Its also one of the all time noisiest cemeteries that I have ever been in. I'm surprised these poor folks haven't been awakened by the roar of traffic from all the major highways that are extremely close by. Its deafening. I'll be very happy to get out of this one. James Burke Born Oct 6, 1934 and died Jan 4, 2001 ( < this one sounds somewhat familiar..........LOL) (Where did the Pilgrims land? It wasn't 1st at Plymouth Rock. (BEAGLE=dog) By the way, I'm now experimenting with a new computer type product, its called a Palm, maybe the whole name is Palm Pilot, but it only says Palm. If it works out correctly it will take the place of my mini 3 ring binder I carry with 1000's of names in it. It has endless room for names and I was told I couldn't fill it up. It also alphabetizes all the names for me. Its a bit smaller than the mini 3 ring binder. It also has a search for those names. I can also write cursive on its screen. It has a stylist that comes with it, so if my hair gets messed up, I call up this stylist somewhere and she comes and fixes my hair....................................hmmmmmmmmmmmmm well, its like a little pen thingy that I use on the screen instead of my finger as its to damn big to hit the mini key board. There were so many greenhorns without ears that a local blacksmith also the local dentist started making artificial ears for them. He finally settled on making ears out of tin. Good prices were paid in Montreal, so Lochiel became afflicted with the epidemic. The local resurrectionists would work under the cover of darkness and steal the bodies of the deceased buried earlier in the day. The bodies were then brought to Montreal during the night for quick sales. It seems no one was ever accused of the crime, but they took a look at your boots to see it they had mud on them or sand.
