Gee, I'm a minute late this morning, out the door at 4:31AM. Its 68F/21C

now.

Heading back to Dryden/Ithaca today and see how far I get.

5:29AM brings me to Donkin Donuts in Dryden, its still pretty black outside

so might as well grab a coffee to drink on the way.

6:07AM brings me to Green Hill Cemetery in Dryden, it was established in

1863 and its 66F/20C now and still very black. Go for a leisurely walk.

That should have loosened up the legs and back. Walked around for about 15

minutes in the dark, no spooks, but I did see some deer in the shadows. It
is

so still, peaceful and quiet, its unbelievable. Now, think about this one,

"Now this is living", yeah, I know, saying that in a cemetery. But I'll bet

shortly it will be very noisy with traffic in the distance etc.

But, its light enough to get started now...........................

Oh Oh.................I see bones.......(P)........ well, after walking

back to the car getting a bag(Kinney Bag, a drug store where Sue works) I

started the process of picking up bones, here's a nice long arm bone and it

appears I have just about all the finger bones. At any rate, I picked up

everything on top and kicked around the dirt to find more bones and finally
got

them all in the bag. This wood chuck has been busy. Such as the arm bone

the marrow is all gone so some bones are hollow and kind of clunk together
in

the bag. They'd probably make great wind chimes. Have many pictures, so if

your on the list to receive cemetery photos you have seen these by now. I

made up a second set of these photos and have already given them to Sue's

boss. She got a kick out of seeing this guy(bones) all in a Kinney bag.

Actually, she had asked for the next human remains to be put in a Kinney bag
as

she has seen the photos of previous human remains. But

wait.....................there's more to this...............I have my film
processed

at a

different drug store, Rite Aid and Will, who I've known a few years now, he

does the film processing there, gave me a brand new Rite Aid bag and a
request

to have the next human remains put in a Rite Aid bag and photographed,

same as Kinney drug store. LOL(P) Who's next with a bag request?????????

Loblaws??????????????

And the remains belonged to........................

Cyrus Beers Born June 21, 1796 and died July 5, 1860.(P) (< now

that he's above ground for the first time since 1860 now I have to dispose
of

him..................)

I actually attached him to my belt rather than carrying him back to the car

for now. I wasn't exactly close the where the car was parked. Finally got

to the car an put him on the floor in the front seat. < no seat belt

needed. Least I don't think there is a law that dead need to wear a seat
belt???

Later finishing the cemetery and being a Saturday, I figured I'd take a

ride to center city, find the police station and hand him in. But........not

so easy. Cant find the police station after multiple tries at asking people.

Finally I spotted a police car and waved like hell from my car and he

pulled over. Then we stood there on the sidewalk 45 minutes for him and his

bosses on the cell phone deciding what to do with Poor Cyrus. We did have a

good laugh all along but end result, he could not except poor Cyrus. Turns

out its not against the law to be dead and be above ground, especially since

1860. No law has been broken. Its also not against the law for me to come

along and find Poor Cyrus, to pick him up and bag him. No laws have been

broken so the Police cant get involved............................Oh

no........................will Poor Cyrus finally go home with
me???????????????

Tune in next Sat. night to find out what happens.

Well, I wont make you wait that long, finally the Cop asked if there was a

building in that cemetery where Poor Cyrus came from. Yes I said, but no

one was there on the weekend. He asked if there was a door knob? Yes, seems

I remember seeing one there. So the Cop suggested I go back to the cemetery

and hang Poor Cyrus on the knob and leave a note as to how I found him and

even leave my e-mail address. Which I

did..............................have never heard a thing. Hope the
caretaker found him

instead of the students

from Cornell College. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm !

Now I'm watching some college aged guys playing with Frisbees here in the

cemetery. I finally got up to them and we talked a few minutes. They were

playing Cemetery Golf with Frisbees. Interesting. I couldn't get the object

but they played right along. About an hour later I ran into them again and

talked with a different guy as I still couldn't get the gist of what they

were doing. He said he was a new player that day and really had no idea what

he was doing other then following the rest of the players. He said it was

kind of lame.

So much for Cemetery Golf with Frisbees...................................
