Cemetery Report: April 7, 2001 "Who Started the Canadian Navy?" List user
4/12/2011, 8:59:47 AM Just woke up and its 3:50 AM, ten minutes before the alarm was set to go off. Well, I get a ten minute head start on the first day of Cemetery Season for 2011. Out the big door at 4:16AM and on my way north on Rt. 81 to Ontario to pick up some loose cemeteries that I've overlooked the past few years. Went through Canadian customs at 6:05AM and now heading west on the 401. I'm heading to Gananoque to Tim's to fill up my thermos bottles with coffee and then basically head north from there, north on Rt 32. My quick stop at Tim's turned out to be closer to 1/2 an hour as I ran into a couple I knew very well, in Tim's. So visited with them while the thermos bottles were filled and I had a small Tim's while there. :) There was no time lost as it was still dark out and a fact I'm sure none of you were aware of, because Canada is on the metric system, the sun rises 20 minutes later there ! :) Its also very foggy out this morning. 7:33AM brings me to Olivet Cemetery on Rt. 32 and its 31F/-2C. As far as the photos taken on these trips, the Quebec list wont show photos, so the only way you can see these cemetery related photos, is by asking me to be put on my Cemetery Photo list. Just send me an e-mail, in the subject line put "subscribe cemetery photos" and put the e-mail address you want them to be sent to in the body of the letter, that's it. Soon as I know when and where I'm headed next, I always post it on the list, soon as I know.............weather and body pending. As this trip was a few weeks after my last surgery, not bad considering. I think it was a 7 pain pill day. And I was down for the entire weekend...............legs are just starting to come around today. And yes, since talking to a few of you, I do have to have another spine surgery, the 5th one, in the near future. All together that will make surgery #22. Got questions about the cemeteries? looking for a burial in cemeteries where I'm headed? you want to meet while I'm there, an or join me, drop me an e-mail. Another great day with the dead........................ Best Bill
