While searching these headstones a guy, maybe 50 or so came over to talk to me, along with 3 youths, average age about 12. He asked me questions about the cemetery and I was easily able to answer his questions and all of a sudden the guy asked me to stop and he waved and a whole flock of kids about the same age came over to listen and ask questions. Turns out he was a history teacher and for a change, what a great group of well disciplined kids and they were very interested. I even asked them if they'd rather be at a baseball game or watching TV and they all said they wanted to be right there where they were. So I continued answering questions and when all done they all thanked me and some of the kids even came over and personally thanked me and shook my hand. What a great group of kids for a change and the guy must have been a great well liked teacher. That was fun..................... On the other hand while in the Military Cemetery, the Park Police were actively going after other school groups of older and younger kids for making noise and screaming and running around and walking and jumping on the graves. It was well posted for this cemetery QUIET etc. and its enforced. Park Police could drive in there and no other public vehicles...............well............ other than me, I got a permit to drive in there :) Justice Eisenberg Co. D Regt 140 Civil War. Srgt. H.
