David : Do I need to repeat myself every time I criticizes Islam and seek its elimination from American society ? It has gotten rather annoying to make things clear, again and again and again. Year after year. The anonymous e-mail writer may be a first time lurker, however, so let me say it still another time. " Destroy Islam " means use of all decent means to discredit this criminal religion, to make it extremely unpopular to such an extent that all Muslims will realize just how sick and warped their sad excuse for a religion happens to be, and quit. At that point, since freedom of religion is central to all I believe in, they should be free to join any other religion of their choice, or be free to have no religion at all. But essentially Islam is a subversive religion, and many of its core teachings are diametrically opposite to the laws of the US Constitution and, as such, are intolerable in America. Freedom of religion is not possible for any Muslim, to feel free to change religion and convert to another faith brings a penalty of death. Most Americans, in their blissful ignorance of almost anything basic about religion generally and Islam in particular, are utterly clueless about the real nature of Muhammad's religion., a religion of laws that must not be violated upon pain of draconian punishments. All of this must be by means of education, use of the media, open debate, publications, discussions, soft power diplomacy, and so forth. This has been my view from day # 1 and how anyone could misconstrue the intent escapes me entirely. Unless someone is so brainwashed by the mainstream media that he or she has no other way to think about open and honest criticism. Of course, should such views ever make it to the mainstream media the reaction I expect from Muslims are threats of violence, and a good chance of actual violence. All the while simpletons like the e-mail writer condemn me for things that Muslims do as a matter of habit and conviction. But I think that 9/11, London, Madrid, Bali, etc, etc, and most recently, Mumbai, speak eloquently for the case I am trying to make. Islam is utterly evil in nature. If the e-mail writer is a South Asian, I ought to temper my rejoinder to some degree, since special considerations apply to parts of India and nearby lands like Indonesia, but otherwise no way, Jose.
