Ernie : Thanx. I'm not sure that your research is definitive, but to say the least it raises serious questions about the BJP characterization. OTOH, my Hindu friend in London , who is a strong critic of BJP, is equally critical of the Congress Party and of the media of India. According to him, press coverage of all sorts of hot button issues is so mealy-mouthed that the Politically Correct western media seems to be positively radical in comparison. This would seem to indicate something sinister at work , more than an explanation according to whether capitalists own the Times Group of India, or any other counterpart explanation such as the BJP view of things..
