Generally speaking, I expect better performance from btrfs, and
performance is improving as the code matures. There are certain workloads
for which ebofs probably did/does better, but there are fundamental
shortcomings in the ebofs implementation that would have caused problems
down the line (the main one being that it kept all allocation and name
lookup metadata in memory).
