If I read this message right, what Luessing is doing are some special-case
hacks to reduce the number of ND multicasts.  He's not attempting a general
solution for multicast.

Which, unfortunately, is quite typical.  (BATMAN, the routing protocol
that Luessing et al develop, has a number of special-case hacks for ARP
and ND, probably also DHCPv4.)
