Wales, I think you have brought up a very good point, which i will try to explain the standing and shed light on some issues. 1)Position of Blazers. Our executive stand right now is that they have to pay the fine. The relegation rulign was reversed after alot of peopl said it was very unfair. They havent paid the fine and they havent written their official complaint to either BASMAL or CEZOBAL. -Their league games were forfeited. point of their remaining games are awarded to the opposite teams. Teh league standing should have been updated to reflect this change, i will ensure that it has been updated. 2)League positions: the accurate league standing as of today should be 1)Mimbulu 2)Trojans 3)12 Disciples 4)Blazers 5)Kb 6)Bayonets add -40 to the blazers score for the two forfeited games to change the goal difference which moves them to position 4 3)You guys played well unfortunately there is no ward for most improved team, i believe next year there could be one if you believe it is necessary to do so, if you win the league next year you would be the most improved team in Malawi! 4)BASMAL NAtional tournament. The BASMAL national tournamnet is on next week here in Lilongwe and only top 3 teams are allowed to play in it. This mean from LL, Mimbulu, Trojans and 12 Disciples will represent the league according to the league standing. 5)ABC Invite. The ABC tournament is purely invitational. They chose who to invite, kick out or disqualify. It is their own tournametn and they control who they invite. 6)GALA Night. Have you bought your ticket to the Gala Night? we still have afew tickets to go and we hope to see you there. Outstanding games to be played in A-League; Each team needs to get to 10 games played to close the season.. If there was an award for MOST IMPROVED team this season surely the disciples or the blazers could have gone away with the award depending on the position in the league. But then lets all remember that we (the disciples) , were also your finalists in this years chairmans trophy tournament beating three other teams respectively including the MOST DISCIPLENED team this season, the mighty trojans. so maybe that might give us an edge, again " if indeed there was this award". After hearing concerns raised by other quarters over the heaviness of the punishement, the executive resolved to reverse its initial judgement. The relegation has been reserved and replaced with a K15,000.00 payable before Feb 28 2009 failing which the relegation judgement will come into effect. The money has to be deposited into the CEZOBAL bank account and a deposit slip given to the finance executive in CEZOBAL, Linley Givah. All teams and players are once again reminded of the need to respect the game and that any game sanctioned by CEZOBAL is part of the league be it a tournament or a clinic, as long as CEZOBAL sanctions it.
