ALL, Before people start grumbling and questioning things. I want to clarify a few things. The ABC invitational tournament is an independent tournament and is organized by ABC. We as CEZOBAL have nothing to do with teams being invited to participate. We have only offered our help in terms of refs, stats/ score/ time keepers, and the general organization and the running of the tournament. We have offered our help because this tournament has an impact in the development of basketball in the Central Zone and countrywide, and we want to take advantage during this tournament to sensitize the general public about our plans for next year. Those who received the email from ABC will note that our Friday Night League Games for the 2010 Season will be advertised during this tournament as the "In your face" a must watch games. ABC are also doing all they can to help publicize the 2010 CEZOBAL plans and this is one way of helping out.
ABC chooses who they want to invite to the tournament. It has nothing to do with how teams finished in their respective leagues etc. it is up to ABC to decide who they want to invite. Please no one should question their decisions, you never know next time it might be your team being invited. As for the rest of us uninvited teams, and the WHOLE Basketball fraternity in the Central Zone let's ALL come in droves to support all the teams from the CEZOBAL league, and make some SERIOUS NOISE, because we all want a team from the CEZOBAL league to win this trophy and the National Championship the following week. All those willing to assist with Refereeing, Score and Time Keeping please get in touch with me so that I can forward your names to ABC those who don't know my number its 099 9919 328. Please send a txt if you can't call or email me your details. If we all assist and make this event a huge success it will benefit CEZOBAL a lot and basketball in general. This is a chance for CEZOBAL to showcase the talent and level of competitiveness we have in our league. We want a lot of people to wake up and see that basketball in the Central Zone is on the rise and nothing is going to stop us from achieving our goals, because we will be in a lot of people's faces in the coming years, that's our motto.
