Barlet/Misomali Family,

this is a welcome idea and i would have loved if we could also have a
seperate tournament to honour some great men who did some great things
for the CEZOBAL family -putting us on the map!; i.e. Adolf Onions
-probably the grandfather of basketball in Lilongwe; Peterson Zembani:
probably the brightest talent that ever graced the basketball courts
-won MVP at Chanco Shield when he was about 12years old; Moto Khama:
the biggest name ever in Lilongwe basketball; Kella Zimpita; the heart
of Civo Banks; of course, Dave Misomali: the most intimidating and
energetic player we will ever see on the court; the likes of late
coach Mackson Kazombo,

Adolf deserves particular mention: the basketball court at Lilongwe
was HIS initiative; the first ever residential basketball camp in
Malawi was facilitated by Adolf; Big Boys basketball team was a hub of
boys from Lilongwe from different backgrounds who found mentor-ship
and role model in Adolf; the guy put up a lot to educate and lead the
basketball generation of that time. I treasure the time i was with
him, the harsh voice telling me to "stop running, this is not
Olympics, its basketball!"...

If you can, please approach the families of the fallen heroes and seek
their permission if we could play a memorial tournament in their
honour.

am excited to see Team Dave Misomali!

ndatha ine

Sule.
