Wales,

If you remember very well the email I sent to you on the 16th of August 2010
regarding complaints etc. that if anyone has a complaint about certain issues
they should be directed to the committee and not this group. If you have a
problem with the way the committee is running things direct your problem
straight to the committee rather than sending to this group. With your
complaint regarding the usage of ABC gym, what exactly do you want this group
to do??? Do you want people to think that the committee is favouring ABC? If
that is the case why is it some of the teams in the very same league who don't
even train at ABC are able to beat ABC on their court? Without kuloweza ma rim
as you had mentioned....

We as a committee have been working extremely hard in building our relationship
with ABC for the last two years and for someone to come out and be saying we
are giving them an unfair advantage is not right, especially when basketball in
the central region as well as in the whole country is benefitting from their
facility. If ABC were to say we stop using their facility for our games are we
going to be able to have all 210 men's league games played at Silver?? And even
at Silver we are having problems with the owners RBM about using their court,
you tell me if they also had a team playing in the league were you going to
complain about them as well having an unfair advantage?? Right now we don't
even know if we will be able to have games at Silver and the only available
alternative is ABC and you are being critically of them being given an unfair
advantage. We will be introducing games at Bunda and Don Bosco this year, just
to try and have the league finished in good time and you the same players are
already complaining that those venues are too far, so you tell us what do you
want us to do??

As you have given the example of Old Trafford, if it is the only available
venue of good standard, that's what will be used. If as Disciples you have a
venue which will be able to host evening games and is of good standard and you
want to use it as your "home court", please give us the details so that we
include that venue in our fixture list, if you don't have an alternative then
please don't bring up these issues.

And as an administrator I only have to use the available venues or resources,
be it an indoor court or outdoor court, the venue which is available and is of
good standard will be used. If you want to bring in the home and away court
rule fine we can start having games played at CIVO, Kamuzu Institute of Youth,
Community Ground Court (at the state they are in), and forgo the standards of
the court. If I may ask you as well, Silver Court, whose home ground is it????

Who did you want to get the clarification from by directing your email to this
group?? Did you want your fellow players as well to join in and start
castigating ABC? And to be frank with you I didn't blow anything out of
proportion, teams and players are not doing enough to help the league develop
and I just pointed out a few issues, there is a whole load of issues which
teams and players are not doing to help the league progress and it is true. You
can sit and ask yourself what has your team done to help develop the sport of
basketball the whole of the off season I'm not going to mention the whole
year?? Look what the Lady Dynamites did in December, they initiated a visit/
donation to an Orphanage and the whole CEZOBAL fraternity was invited did
Disciples even have ONE player representing them??? Let alone send a tablet of
soap to be given to the poor kids??

Let's look at ourselves first before we start castigating others or saying some
are being given an unfair advantage when there is NO other alternative, first
have an alternative in place, or a better suggestion rather than try and start
an issue which at the end of the day will have Basketball suffer rather than
develop.

Like I have pointed out to you before and this I hope will be the last time I'm
doing this, IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM OR COMPLAINT, DIRECT YOUR COMPLAINT OR
PROBLEM TO THE COMMITTEE AND NOT THIS GROUP.

Regards,

Barlett

Barlet,

I would like to know the cliteria you are using to view some points as valid
and some useless and childish. You have used my point to blow things out of
proportion rather that saying kuti AYI SIZISINTHA. It seems there are a lot of
other issues CEZOBALL has to look at as a commitee but does that mean we stop
looking at other points. Was my point that invalid, had it nothing to do with
Basketball? I am sure I have seen some points more senseless points on this
group than mine. My point was strictly asking kuti just because Old Trafford is
the best pitch, does Man U have to play all thier games at home. Is that good
for the game? As a player I understand the difference between playing indoor
and outdoor, that's y I had raised this point and on this group, hoping to get
a more appropriate clarification, something which this group always manage to
do. If this group is meant for more "REAL" issues such as the ones you
mentioned, then I am sorry, I never got the MEMO.

Regards,

Wales

Wales and the whole CEZOBAL Fraternity,

It is not by our choice that ABC is the only available best basketball facility
in the country, ABC makes their court available to other teams to train so the
issue of you saying that it gives unfair advantage to them is out of question,
if you want to LOWEZA their rims go there and train at ABC every day.

It's time that people in CEZOBAL woke up and started concentrating on real
issues rather than childish things which are making the league fail to
progress, as of right now only 3 teams have paid and taken their registration
booklets, not even a single team has paid their registration fees and the
deadline is in 14 days' time. NO team has ever gone out on its own to any
school to assist with coaching and developing the game, let alone even try to
market and brand your own teams and make basketball attractive to the masses,
all what teams do is sit and whine and expect the committee to do everything
for them.

When the committee arranges anything for the benefit of the league, none of the
so called CEZOBAL players show up, how many players showed up for the CEZOBAL
Gala night?? A night purely arranged to honour you the Cezobal players, you all
never showed up, we had more junior league players present at the gala night
than senior players and all you want to do is sit and whine that ABC is given
an unfair advantage because they have a court.

It time everyone grow up and everyone starts doing things for the benefit of
the whole league and for the benefit of basketball, starting with the referees
clinic which will be held this Saturday at ABC starting at 2pm. And it is the
responsibility of every player to get involved with the Junior league, which is
also starting on Saturday morning at ABC , teams should look at developing the
game rather than just sit and dwell on things which will not take the league
forward.

The administration of the league has improved things are done well in advance
teams are given all the time in the world to prepare themselves but the teams
don't want to embrace the good administration by making themselves function
better, how many teams have even engaged a coach?? All teams were told in
November last year about this but most of you have done ZERO, you waiting to
start making excuses that you couldn't find anyone it 3 months??? NO TEAM WILL
BE ALLOWED TO REGISTER THIS YEAR WITHOUT A COACH PERIOD, those are the issues
you should be dwelling on.

This CEZOBAL Google group should never be used to send useless things this was
made for people to share basketball issues as well as pass vital CEZOBAL
information to each other.

I TRUST THAT THIS IS LOUD AND CLEAR TO EVERYONE AND WE SHOULD ALL WORK TOGETHER
IN DEVELOPING BASKETBALL AND MAKING CEZOBAL THE BEST BASKETBALL LEAGUE IN THE
REGION STARTING TODAY ON VALENTINE'S DAY. LETS ALL SHOW LOVE TO OUR LOVED ONES,
AS WELL AS THE SPORT WE ALL LOVE.

HAPPY VALENITNES TO EVERYONE.

Cezoball,

Over the past few years, it has been noted that cezoball has taken steps to
make changes so that the league is fair to all team thus encouraging
competation e.g. change of format in the playoff fixture. In the same sense it
has been noted that one team namely ABC usually have almost all thier games at
thier home ground. As much as it's the only indoor, and proper homeground we
have, I feel that this gives them a unfair advantage since its the court they
train and have time to LOWEZA those rims. I would like to know if ABC will be
playing the same amount of games at silver as all the other teams this year.

Regards,

Wales
