how are you tryiung to install IE4, and on what os... I dont think its pos to put ie4 on win2k on earlier os's, if you have a "magazine cover"type cd rom with the full ie4 install on it, you should be able to install ie 4. Once you got ie4 on, installing ie5 (agan from cd not internet) there should be an advanced options link, and within that an option called something like "compatability mode" which allows you to load ie4 dll instead of ie5... It is definately possible - I have done it on NT and 98 several times...
