n-ary Ltd.: New Java Software Gives ColdFusion Developers Choice
DUMFRIES, Scotland, Feb 6, 2001 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- With the recent merger of
Allaire Corp and Macromedia, Inc., users of Allaire's flagship product
ColdFusion may be slightly unsure of the future of the CFML language.
However, a Java company based in Scotland may have the answer to these
fears.
n-ary (consultancy) Ltd. has developed a 100% pure J2EE application that can
render ColdFusion pages. Initial tests suggest that the software (codenamed
TagFusion) actually runs more efficiently than Allaire's ColdFusion server
itself.
TagFusion supports the majority of the most commonly used CFML tags in
addition
to supporting CFML's complete expression language. TagFusion has been
undergoing
thorough testing since July 2000 with the UK's largest shopping portal,
ShopSmart.com.
It's not certain yet as to whether TagFusion will become an open-source
project
or will be launched as a product to compete directly with ColdFusion.
