Curriculum vita.
It's like a really long resume. Resumes are supposed to be one page long.
Period. They are never supposed to be longer than one page. My mother would
have kicked my butt if I ever had a resume longer than one page. Some
people are so serious about it that they won't even read a resume longer
than one page and you certainly won't get a job if they don't even read
your resume. Resumes are supposed to list every job you've ever had and
every college and trade school you attended. You run out of space before
you can get the really useful skills in. Curriculum vitae on the other hand
are supposed to be a lot more detailed. I haven't seen one for a
development job but you would probably put a small section for each major
project you worked on and what part of the work was yours. You would
definitely go into detail about job duties that are applicable to the job
you are seeking.
