yup - I think you might be right...

PWS was already set up on the laptop, and I'm not sure if the problem was
with PWS or Network related.

Before I put MSDE on, the sytem was running fine with cf4.0 single user on
PWS, but now after installing MSDE and upgrading to cf4.5 single user, the
machine will only serve pages for between 30sec and 5 min.  After that,
every page comes up server not found (127.0.0.1).  Also, if I try accessing
the network after this point (which was also working fine before) I cant
even ping any  other machine on the network, (although 127.10.0.1 pings
fine)

Short of reformatting the laptop, and putting a decent OS on it (ie not
win9x) I ran out of ideas - any ideas would be most appreciated
