I agree and disagree with some of the comments...

1. Who is the Target Audience?
    Game Lovers
2. What are their Interests?
In other words why are they coming to your website.

What I recommend is first you at least go to Barnes and Noble and read the
book from Jakob Nielsen. I don't agree with everything he says but he is
teaching me ideas I seem to agree with more and more.

What makes a web page STICKY... I read that Bingo.com is the most sticky
site... I have never been there and that pogo.com is second. I have been
there... the top sites are Game Sites... However if you offer content
people want then you can draw them in. Also what you need to do is focus
in on who your targeting. Gamers? Young? Old? Types of Games? PC?
Nintendo? Sega? Playstation? Role Playing?

What do you plan to give the visitor? Hints? Stats? Reviews? Messageboards
to Share? Chat? etc.

Check out Jakob Nielsen's USEFUL website but not very pretty. I think you
need to be somewhere from where you are to where he is at...

Since your doing games you get to do fancy graphics but choose them
carefully and try not to waste to much real estate.
