As far as I know the problem is with ingesting the infected brain, nerve or
bonemarrow tissue.  This is generally only present in the offal that's
ground up for animal feed.

If you do a high protein diet, it better be low fat(lean chicken breast, egg
whites, turkey etc.) unless you are one of the lucky few who don't have to
worry about heart disease. Read "The Zone" by Barry Sears and "Reversing
