Hmm..that's an idea..

But based on what I said..would Java/.jsp really be a better choice than CF
in this particular instance, Ben?

Looking at the best solution to the project, rather than best overall
product or anything.

No one on staff knows java/.jsp to even an intermediate level.

We want to get this product built quickly at at least offer a valid
framework to potential customers to tie them in early, before someone else
does, then we plan to work with them to make the application a better fit.

I was even considering using Spectra as a framework, but the Oracle
Development manager is talking about Oracle Portal(Again something that no
one on staff has ANY familiarity with)...

WE will be interacting with perhaps more than one type of Authorisation
authority, perhaps on in Trinidad and in Canada as well for real time credit
card transactions...

I just don't see .jsp fitting into the scenario right now, and I can see all
the benefits of using Coldfusion.
PLUS! If they SOoooo want to use Java, then we can work whatever server side
java procedures they want to use, into the CF Framework...(though why we'd
want to I dunno heh heh).

Psssttttt <whispering> ...

Map JSP as an extension to be processed by ColdFusion, and then save your
ColdFusion code in files with a JSP extension. Managers would not know the
different if they actually looked at the code. And that would buy you time
until Neo comes out when you'll really be able to write Java based apps in
CF. :-)
