Hmmm, thinking aobut it now, the first computer I programmed on was,
IIRC,an IBM PSII Model 50 (still have one although it's been
upgraded)...using Basic. This was back when the PSII was a mosnter, cost a
ton of money (around $8000?), and the monitor was small and green.....I
guess I was about 12 or 13? It was sooooooo long ago.
It wasn't until after I was almost finished with college (after a 10 year
hiatus) that I got back to computers. I came at this from the HTML side -
taught myself using VI on a Unix hybrid (Ultrix). For the longest time I
hated computer games (my second husband would prefer to spend time playing
on his Commodore than with me. :o/ )
Now, I enjoy MechWarrior3, Rainbow6 (all the different versions) and
LongBow. I just LOVE those helicopter flight sims!!!!! Much better than
any fixed-wing! ;o)
Oh, for what it's worth, I'm 37 now....
You can see me at http://www.aaawebhosting.com/judi/ this pic is from the
webcam that is occasionally on.... ;o)
