I just did a career panel at the college I most recently attended. My
own former instructors were surprised.
Airframe technician in the RCAF for 5 years
Recreational Leadership at Community College (1 semester)
Classical Greek and Roman Literature at University (2 years)
Law and Security at Community College (2 semesters)
Microbrewery worker
Personal trainer
Security Guard
Foundry worker (for a whole 8 hours, but it felt like a career)
Computer Support Technician at Community College (3 years)
Now Webmaster and I'm only 29. Ought to take me only 29 more years to
pay off the student loans.
Earliest computer programmed on = Commodore PET, 1985
BTW , just download a C64 emulator and have been playing games like
Boogaboo and Spyhunter. Good times!
Started programming at 12 then when I was about 14 I discovered girls
(a lot more challenging to program!) Didn't code a line again until
27. Ain't life strange?
