It may be related to the fat content of the food you are eating. Staying awake after
lunch used to be a huge problem for me. After some minor heart problems and
registering a couple of cholesterol readings in the 300 range I radically changed my
diet. Reduce or eliminate your consumption of beef, cheese, butter, oil, fatty meats,
fatty anything. Look at the label on processed foods. If there are more than say 5
grams of fat, avoid it. I rarely get sleepy at all after lunch now.
