If a rickshaw is what I think it is, I'd be ashamed to be seen in one. But
my point was, if you have a great transportation system, you don't 'have' to
have a car, but in most of the US, it's very difficult to get around without
one. Are the gas prices so high in Europe because they tax it to fund the
public transportation system, or are the price generated as a result of
supply and demand?

It a city to city thing... London has loads of (bad) public transport...
Manchester has trains (obviously) busses and trams, Sheffield has the
same... the centre of London has busses, underground, trains, rickshaws,
cycle cabs (and I'm not kidding on the last 2)
