I see your point about the pseudo-randomness.
And if you always do it on the same day, then forget, there's an unfulfilled
expectation.
<sigh>
Another pseudo-random point-winner is rubbing neck and shoulders, or feet.
I'm only a barely-skilled amateur massager, but it's appreciated.
Funny thing, tho' - a neck or foot massage usually seems to turn into a
full-body massage 8-)

Y'know, doing something like that always backfired for me. If I brought my
