Really empathize, folks. Been there, felt that.
In a prior life, worked for a corporation which was acquired.
Went from being independent to a subsidiary to a division to a joke.
The hq office in San Francisco went from 1650 people to 250 over the time I
worked there.
Got really grim and depressing.
When my boss called me in one day and said "WE are being laid off" it was
almost a relief to the "Ten Little Indians" tension.
Hope you all end up in positions which make you happy and prosperous.
Ben
(Feel ALMOST guilty -- no job is completely layoff-proof in today's climate,
but I'm working at an oil refinery...)

I am worried about the same thing.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=GNA&d=c&k=c1&a=v&p=s&t=5y&l=on&z=m&q=l
The company I work for in the last 5 years stock has dropped from $10.00 to
$1.40 and
one year ago was $6.00 and 3 months ago was $3.50
The company was rated A minus minus and now is rated B Plus Plus
but when a company goes from an A rating to a B rating it does not matter
the Plus Plus...
I hope things work out well for you and your co-employees.
