But the intent was there. Until we learn how to control the intent and the
rage, nothing will stop us from killing each other. We sure didn't need
guns to do that 2000 years ago.
As a case in point, there are places in Panama that I could go and get any
military weapon I wanted, not that I would. These could then be smuggled
into the country with cocaine, we are diung such a winderful job of stopping
it, and I just bypassed any gun control law.
Any crime commited with these weapons would not be solved with the help of
any registration program or stopped by any laws preventing the sale of any
firearm.
If you think that is a far fetched idea, ask yourself how criminals are
getting military grade weapons manufactured after the import of them was
banned.
