Zyban is an antidepressant, so there all the standard warnings about
reuptake inhibitors(seratonin, and dopamine) apply. I'd be willing to wager
that the deaths were from abuse or mixing, not subscribed Zyban. The press
likes to make correlations where they do not exist, and leave out the actual
facts.
I dont know if there is any studies out there that show it, but
antidepressant abuse among former ecstasy users is definately on the rise.
With ecstasy's known effect of damaging seratonin production, I really think
in 20 years there will be a large population of antidepressant dependant
people.
Time to go buy some GlaxoWellcome stock ;-)
