A CF-Community get together sounds great, but it wouldn't have been right
without the leader present. Michael, maybe you could Lurk behind the
scenes then De_Lurk suddenly to scare the MM folks when they least expect
it! Sounds like they are already afraid of you.
Personal opinion: (MM should open their arms to someone of MD's caliber,
especially someone willing to help promote and advance their
products/technology at his own expense... i.e. these lists, his time etc.)
I'm pretty sure I'll be going for the first time this year, but being owner
I can't just get approval from the boss, I also have to pay the bill
myself... so I'll likely wait til the last minute to commit.
Is everyone planning on staying in the hotel where the conf. will be held?
I assume there are cheaper accommodations available off of Disney property.

I just got off an ICQ chat with Judith (mine), Erika and Dain. Besides
wanting to do this again we discussed a few other things. One of them was
the conference. I know I said I wasn't going but Judith wants to. On the
other hand, we want to go for the community, not necessarily for the MM
classes or events. For that reason we suggested a Non-Conference conference.
Basically, we all show up at the conference hotel and hang out in the
lobby/bar. This will allow us to network, talk, plan and do all the stuff
we're planing on doing anyway. We did this a LOT at the last one and it was
rather cool. I can see us taking over the pool side or something as well. :)
This does mean that some people have to pay for transportation and hotel
rooms but I've been to some conferences where we've shared rooms.
What do you (the community) think? Personally, the only reason I have for
going is you.
