We've had exactally the opposite experience. Our company has been
completely happy with Gateway. Customer service is always top notch and the
few computers we have to RTM or have parts sent out for are handled quickly
and completely. BTW we have over 700 computers in our organization and ~90%
are Gateways. Computers we have the most problems with are Dell. I've
found their laptops to be outstanding and should be getting one of their new
1 GHz PIIIs very soon.

Every Gateway I've bought has been dreck. We bought several for the
office
last year, and none of them work. We've sent them back so many times
the
UPS guy knows us by first name.
Currently the only functional box left is sitting in corner being used
to
test web sites on with AOL browsers. It was never stable enough to use
as
a production box.
