I don't know if any of this will be of help, but I hope so.
Several years ago, in the space of a few months -
My mother was diagnosed with a brain tumour and later died
I lost my job and my house
My girlfriend left me
I came close to being an alcoholic (due to the above)
Lots of other smaller but still nasty stuff
At the time it seemed nothing good could ever come out of what was
happening, but now I am in a position where I have my own business, a
beautiful girlfriend who I intend to marry next year and a much better
relationship with my family - particularly my father. None of that would
have happened without the events of those very dark days, so please try to
keep a positive attitude and look to your future. If there is one lesson I
learned it was to keep an open mind and try to spot opportunities when they
arise - and they will, it might not seem like it sometimes, but I promise
you, they will.
