Well perhaps we will eventually get there but for now we'll have to
settle for software like CubicEye (http://www.2ce.com/).

It's been around for awhile now but hasn't really caught on.

Drag and drop entire code libraries and then drill down from the Page
layer to the code layer where you can do the same
thing..and see the code flow in action as someone walks through the
website and stuff...

I find I can code a design in Studio about as fast as it takes to drag
and drop and such via WYSIWYG in UD.  By coding in Studio, I get peace
of mind that the file hasn't been modified or formatted by UD.  The only
thing I have used it for is generating JavaScript events, but even that
stuff can be found elsewhere easily.
