Sorry. I mistook our mail server's misfortune for a lag in the list server.
Due to the actions of a wonderful lamer h4x0r, whom we shall call
"luser-bob", who decided to upload 1.2 gigs of DVD rips such as Star Trek 7
and Rain Man, in the original German, to our mail server; and then who
preceded to remove all permissions for Administrator and SYSTEM from the C
and D drives on that machine, it just gave up the ghost.
It fought valiantly for 2 hours while its vital systems shut down, one by
one, but in the end, it just couldn't hold on. I had to wheel it in for
emergency tests and scans and, eventually a hard reboot, but, despite my
best efforts, the machine pretty much died on the workbench. The mail
server can't live without the OS, ya know? :-/
I finally put what was left back together this afternoon, but the machine is
currently in a deep coma with little hope of recovery. I am praying that it
makes it until the morning, at which time I can perform a radical procedure,
known as a Reformattal Lobotomy, that may save its life, though I fear it
will never be the same server ever again.
Anyway .. Wish me luck.

Alas, poor mail server! I knew him, Horatio: a deliverer of infinite jokes,
of most excellent porn: he hath borne my spam on his back a thousand times;
and now, how abhorred in my reading it is! My gorge relays at it. Here shown
those headers that I have spied I know not how oft. Where be your
attachments now? Your forwards? Your ORBS? Your links to mp3's, that were
wont to set the lawyers on a roar? Not one now, to mock your own spooling?
Quite flamed? Now get you to my boss' chamber, and tell her, let her paint
a pink slip, to this favour she must come; make her Reply-All to that.
