That wouldn't surprise me since MS announced the new XNA development
platform that is supposed to allow for interplay between PC's and XBOX.
Seems like a good idea.

Subject: [gaming] Microsoft researching viability of a PC/Xbox hybrid.

"Xbox 2/PC hybrid on the way?>> 10:58 AM Brandon Sandman Bell

According to this CNN/Money article, Microsoft has hired a market
research firm to gather feedback on a next-generation Xbox game console
that can also function as a PC. The machine would be backward-compatible
with current Xbox titles as well as include support for next generation
Xbox games. It would also be capable of playing PC games and include
full Windows functionality. The system would come with a keyboard and
mouse and an Xbox controller and would be priced at $599.
The real surprising part, was that unlike HomeStation (Microsoft's
rumored 1st generation PC/Xbox device), Microsoft officials have
acknowledged that they're looking into a hybrid PC/Xbox device for their
next generation console. "

Convergence. It's coming quicker than we think.
