*hugs*
I understand feeling afraid. I was a bit edgy too when Air Force one landed
here..thinking it had just about made Shreveport a nice little target for
any planes still in the air hijacked and unaccounted for. And a lot of the
residents thought so too. I heard someone say that he'd been watching the
skies all afternoon since he heard AF1 had landed lol. Yeah well..it kinda
sounded funny in the bar at the time. *ahem*.
I'm glad you are okies though...and I think it will all turn out okies.
I don't think Bush is going to do anything hasty and potentially start WWIII
or anything, but you know me. I'm opinionated. *small chuckle* A couple
of those responses got me thinking though..but I still think that a hasty
retaliation would be bad, regardless of who it is against.
Cheer up a little..and stop watching the news, it helps sometimes when
events like this happens. Look at it at night instead of bombarding yourself
with coverage and those scenes over and over throughout the day....it gets
very depressing, at least for me it does. I am tryign not to listen to all
those 'eyewitness' accounts that are coming through now. The friend I am
staying with has a brother that works in the WTC, and we were frantic
yesterday trying to find out where he was. Eventually we heard he was on an
Air France flight and hadn't landed in New York so that calmed us down a
lot, but he still hasn't called to say anything, wherever he is.
And you are still lurking..that means you are still working too hard eh? I'm
in the same boat myself with that, I've only just got over a big chunk of a
few projects I was finishing off and got through a lot of meetings.
*wiggles her earlobes*
I wish Mark's proferred muffin was real since I've yet to find a place
nearby selling decent muffins in Shreveport ^_^
I'm thinking of extending my stay here instead of flying out so quickly
after this has happened and being one of the first in the air, what do you
think? Or should I just hop on the plane Monday if possible and fly out as
soon as possible? I dunno.
May your earlobes always stay wobbly and you always be happy Ewika!!
cheer up....
=)
