The bosque is on fire again. This is the forested strip that runs through town along the river. It looks like they are getting it under control but we got to have this on a day where we had wind alerts. Not to mention the year of drought. On the positive side, it's not very close to my house, although I am much closer this time. Last year I lived on the other side of town and there was really no chance of evacuation at all.

I spent the morning today finding out that the problem with my right eye is that all the rubbing i have been doing over allergies has aggravated an ingrown eyelash. I also get to see a different doctor tomorrow for followup and an opthamologist on Monday. And looks like the air quality is headed south from the smoke too, oh goodie. I know this is a whine -- hey, I have access to all these doctors, which many people don't -- but the misery quotient is fairly high right now. I feel allergic to my face :) Hopefully when I can pick up the steroid spray tomorrow things will improve.
