Right, but the footer is not a quoted item, it's always generated new. It always
has new information and should not be considered a quote. It seems that GMail
decides what's a quoted item or not based on a 90% match. If some text is 90%
the same as a previous post, it's considered quoted text and gets hidden. Not
right.
To make matters worse, if you get 2 posts on the same thread that's 80% or so
the same, GMail will delete one of them. I have CF-Community set to GMail and I
sent a copy of an archive post to GMail as well. The archive post has a 100%
different footer and a small header (a link to the post in the archive) and
GMail decided to keep one and delete the other. Again, not right. If they're
going to take editorial and receipt control away from a user based on
uncontrollable criteria that's not mentioned anywhere, then it's not something
that I really want to use. I'm writing all of these up and will post them to the
front of HoF. As soon as I'm finished with a new list module. and the sign in.
and. and. and.
