I've seen Joe Ely twice now and he's put on an awesome show each time.
First time I saw him was in Deep Ellum in Dallas.  Standing room only in
a tiny club.  Maybe 150 people in the room.  It was just Joe and a
german flamenco guitarist.  

Second time I saw him, it was at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth.  Great show,
just not the same ambiance of that small club.  

He sang a song at that small club that was talking about picking up
Jesus who was hitchhiking.  I've never known the name of the song, but
I'd love to figure that one out.
