I'm redesigning my site and want to move from my rather tongue-in-cheek code
policy here:

http://www.depressedpress.com/DepressedPress/Content/Misc/CodePolicy.cfm

to something more officially open source.

My big problem is that I can't seem to find an "open source" for dummies
anyplace and I'm having trouble wading through the licenses.  I don't feel
comfortable applying something like this until I fully understand my
responsibilities.

I love the simplicity of the Fair License
(http://opensource.org/licenses/fair.php) but am concerned it may be too
simple.

The Open Software License (http://opensource.org/licenses/osl-2.1.php) is
also legible and clear but prevents people using the code from adding it to
proprietary works (and I don't want to be that limiting).

Both GPL licenses are just too damn long-winded and complicated.

What do you guys use/prefer?
